Message from Tyler Garden, Referee In Chief September 28, 2020
I appreciate the patience that everyone has had in regards to the returning to play protocols and what this season will look like for officials. Unfortunately, I don't fully know what this season will hold or when officials will be back on the ice. Based on discussions with BC Hockey I am optimistic that it will be sooner than later.
On the positive side, online clinics are now open for registration through your ehockey account, just like you previously registered for them. Please note that these are for RETURNING OFFICIALS ONLY, new officials should not register for these sessions. Also, once officials are carded they SHOULD NOT participate as an official for any PGMHA ice times unless you hear from me. Clinics for new officials will be available later on in October.
We are going to use RAMP again this season to assign games. I will be requesting an update of officials that attend clinics so that once things get going we will ensure you get games. I will also be scheduling an online meeting for officials before we get going with games to ensure that any questions or concerns are addressed prior to beginning play.
As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
